We have a range of organic baby basics that include clothing for all seasons ranging from organic baby playsuits, bibs, hats, tops, trousers, dresses, socks and funky organic baby clothes with slogans.
We all know that babies spend the majority of their first few months sleeping therefore we also have organic baby nightgowns and sleepsuits, organic baby moses baskets as well as organic baby bedding.
The picture would not be complete without looking after baby’s skin too therefore we stock the UK’s best organic skin care for babies, Beaming Baby’s organic baby bodywash, shampoo, lotion and bubble bath.
How about playtime, we know babies love nothing better than picking objects up and putting them in their mouths. Again all this would be well if it wasn’t for harsh chemicals in most objects. Again we have a range of organic baby toys to keep babies dazed, h suitable from birth up to 6 months. They are from Keptin Jr and we’re sure you’ll love our selection.
Your questions answered on organic baby clothes
Why should I buy organic clothes?
Reserch has indicated that babies skin is up to 5 times more sensitive than an adults. This means babies are likely to absorb chemicals from clothing.
Organic baby clothes are also suitable for babies who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema and other allergies as organic baby clothing is made without using harmful chemicals and pesticides.
Organic baby cotton clothing is likely to last longer than non-organic cotton clothing and remains softer after a wash compared to the latter.
How are organic baby clothes made?
Most organic baby clothes are made from cotton. The cotton is grown naturally without the use of harmful chemical fertilisers and pesticides. In most cases natural manure from cattle is used. To achieve the colour, the cotton is often naturally coloured itself and grows in shades of green and brown. In cases where other colours are needed, this is done using dyes that have been approved by the relevant body as being safe.
Why are organic baby clothes expensive compared to non-organic clothes?
We believe the main cause is that organic baby clothes are not widely available and organic cotton is grown in smaller lots compared to non organic cotton. This means the farmers incur more costs per unit of land.
